Tulen: Event Marketing, Sales Automation | HoneyBook: Booking & Client Management

Fire House Loft came to Tulen at a crossroads. Sean, the owner, had been breaking even month after month and was seriously considering shutting the space down. The bookings weren't coming in the way they needed to, and the systems weren't in place to change that.

When they reached out, Sean had just made the switch to HoneyBook to manage their bookings and was looking for a partner who could help drive real growth at the property. Before HoneyBook, Sean was managing contracts, payment plans, and client communication by hand. He needed a system to make sure leads were followed up on and none fell through the cracks. Moving booking and client management into HoneyBook meant he had a system in place before the lead volume started to grow, which is exactly what he’d need next.

Our Strategy

For us, it was an easy decision. Fire House Loft is a stunning space, a restored 1870s firehouse sitting right in the heart of Magazine Street in New Orleans, and we felt strongly that the space just needed more visibility.

We leaned into what made it special. Drone aerial footage of the building, the character of the historic space, the location in one of New Orleans’ most iconic corridors. Our strategy was straightforward: show people what this place actually looks like and let the space sell itself.

The results backed that up. Fire House Loft was hovering around $25,000 in monthly revenue when we started working together. In September, they hit $55,000, their best month ever. Since then, they’ve maintained a consistent average of around $50,000 per month, roughly doubling where they were before Tulen. Speed matters just as much as volume. Once Sean sends a couple their contract, they’re signing it within two days on average, so a good lead doesn’t go cold waiting on paperwork. From a couple’s first inquiry to the day they’re booked, the whole process takes five days on average. Tulen brings the leads in fast, and HoneyBook makes sure none of them stall out before they sign.

This is where the two partnerships work together. Tulen fills the calendar with ads, visibility, and qualified inquiries. HoneyBook is where those inquiries become signed, paid bookings: contracts out fast, deposits collected, payment plans on autopilot, every message to the couple in one place. Because Tulen’s campaigns connect directly into Sean’s HoneyBook, we could both see real bookings and real revenue in real time, not estimates. That transparency gave Sean the confidence to double down on the marketing spend that was actually working, gave Tulen the data to spend more efficiently on his behalf, and meant nothing that came in the door got lost on the way to a signature. It’s a closed loop that makes every dollar go further.

Testimonial

"We had our best month ever in September... our leads per month are going up. I don't know if you hadn't come into this business, I'm not sure how much longer I would have been enthusiastic about keeping it going."
